LaFrance provided this picture [August 2009] that she bought on eBay.
On the back is written, "L. N. LaFrance" which she thinks might mean
Levi Newell
LaFrance. Which one that might be, and who the rest are is not known.
The
LaFrance families are descendants of Peter LaFrance, one of
the first settlers, about 1798. Levi Newell LaFrance was born 11
October 1846 and died 10 August 1918 and married Lydia Dunlap. He was
the son of Ziba LaFrance (1821-1876) and Carolyn McLaud
(McLeod) 1824-1909.
If you can identify any, please let me know and I'll add
the information here.
